Last night around 11:30 I was laying in bed watching TV and feeling a little sleepy. The next thing I knew, I was in the bathroom. When I walked into the kitchen to get a drink, the clock said 2:45. When I walked into my bedroom I saw that the light above my bed was still on and the big pillow I use to prop myself up to read or watch TV was still on my bed. I never sleep on that thing, I always put it away before I go to bed. My glasses were on my nightstand, where I put them every night, but I have absolutely no recollection of putting them there last night. I even had my flip flops on which I always wear around the house in the summertime because we get he occasional scorpion inside and I don’t want to step on one (I’ve done it before and it sucks). So even though I didn’t know what I was doing, some part of my brain did.
I haven’t started any new medications in months so it’s really unlikely that it was caused by some sort of reaction. Oh and when I finally went (back?) to bed around 3:00 I slept for eleven hours. Eleven hours?! I’ve felt so wonky and foggy ever since I woke up. I guess I’ll ask the neurosurgeon about it on Monday. I mean, I don’t think it’s related to my spinal problems but he’s probably a really good person to ask about this type of thing.
